I love this and relate so much! I also write whenever I can and a thought occurs to me and the more poetry I read, especially here on substack from the part time poets, the more I find myself writing poetry! Your poem about nursing for the last time was beautiful ❤️

This was so fun!! I love what you said in the last section about inspiration. I don’t consider myself a poet, but this makes me think I could do it. ❤️

I really enjoyed this and I have a strong sense this will not be your last interview as a poet!

Thanks Ashley! I would love to be interviewed by someone other that myself. 🤣

Yesss, I love how you cheer on poets who don't know they're poets yet. :) And I am always a big fan of you using as few words as possible. That's a HARD thing for most people (myself included!) and you do it beautifully.

Loved this!! I took Sonya Spillman micro essay class and love the teeny tiny essay and poetry format. In real life though I speak too much, but in writing I love less words. Big essays intimidate me , love reading them , writing them is another thing!

Have You thought of writing for kids?

Same. I can read essays all day but even the thought of writing one makes me want to cry. LOL. I haven't really thought about writing for kids but that could be a fun challenge/dream.
